Julie is a Registered Psychologist who provides compassionate, evidence-based and person-centred psychological support to children, adolescents and families at Wonders Allied Health.

Julie has experience working with individuals with a broad range of emotional, behavioural and psychological needs, including anxiety, depression and low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, neurodivergence, cognitive and learning difficulties, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating concerns and disorders, interpersonal difficulties and other complex presentations.

She has worked across a variety of clinical environments, including private psychology practice, hospital, educational, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and not-for-profit settings, giving her a broad understanding of the different factors that can influence a young person’s emotional wellbeing and development.

Julie takes a holistic, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to therapy. She recognises that every child and young person is unique and considers their individual strengths, developmental needs, family relationships, learning environment and broader social circumstances when developing therapeutic goals.

Her therapeutic approach draws on evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and psychodynamic approaches, tailored to the individual needs and developmental stage of each client.

Julie also has experience supporting people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and can provide psychological sessions in English and Korean.
