Wonders Allied Health aims to create a comprehensive, integrated centre for children and families, where specialist paediatric medical care and allied health services work alongside each other.
Through our association with Happy Feet Paediatric Centre, we aim to bring together Specialist Paediatricians, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, and occupational therapists in the same centre, allowing families to access different areas of care in a coordinated and practical way.
Children often have needs that cross traditional boundaries between medical, developmental, behavioural, emotional and communication care. Having clinicians working within the same environment creates greater opportunity for communication and collaboration between professionals, where appropriate and with family consent.
Our goal is to make care more connected, efficient and family-centred, reducing the need for families to navigate multiple disconnected services while supporting a more coordinated approach to each child’s treatment and ongoing development.
Access to Allied Health services can be difficult for families living outside metropolitan areas, particularly in regional, rural and remote communities.
Wonders Allied Health is therefore developing its telehealth services alongside its face-to-face care, allowing children and families to access selected Psychology, Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy services regardless of where they live.
Our telehealth allied health services can also work in conjunction with KiddoCare Telehealth Services (Paediatrician Telehealth Services), our dedicated paediatric telehealth platform, allowing allied health services to complement telehealth paediatric consultations and follow-up care where appropriate.
This creates opportunities for Paediatric and Allied Health supports to work together even when families cannot easily attend a metropolitan clinic.
Our aim is to extend access across Australia, including communities where local Allied Health services may be limited or where families face long travel distances or waiting times.
